Canvassing & Volunteer Training - Institute for Change Leaders
Learn how to capture voters’ hearts through meaningful conversations about what they can do now to start building a better community. This in-depth canvassing training is crucial for campaign volunteers, organizers and potential candidates. Learn from Olivia Chow on how you and your candidate can succinctly express why you want to build a better community and how your neighbours can contribute in your efforts. Olivia will share her expert knowledge gleaned from 30 years of political experience on how to engage and recruit volunteers during canvassing opportunities.
Fundraising & Campaign Technology Training - Open Democracy Project
Fundraising and effective use of technology are important enablers of any successful run for office. In this two-part interactive session, participants will be presented with a fundraising case study and will develop a fundraising plan in small groups. In the afternoon, we will review campaign administrative systems such as file sharing and team communication and review the use of the campaign database, NationBuilder, for field operations and fundraising. The session will also cover mobile canvassing basics.
