The Open Democracy Project is a not-for-profit startup working to open the democratic process by publishing a shared campaign services package for councillor and trustee election races, called DemocracyKit. We believe that everyone should have access to powerful campaign tools, such as:

  • Startup fundraising plans tailored to team size and experience
  • A blueprint for building voter contact operations
  • Affordable and effective campaign digital tools, such as websites and contact management systems

Over the coming weeks, experienced municipal campaigners will participate in facilitated roundtables to develop recommendations for the DemocracyKit knowledge library, campaign plans and online courses. In early November we're launching an Indiegogo campaign to fund the project.

Please join us at our first DemocracyKit Town Hall on Tuesday October 25, 2016, 6:15pm - 7:30pm. We will be presenting the results of initial team roundtables and asking for your input!
